Audi has taken the wraps off its new-for-2014 R18 e-tron quattro ahead of testing this week at Sebring International Raceway.

The car, which will retain the same naming as its previous FIA World Endurance Championship-winning model, turned its first laps in October and will now take to the 3.7-mile airfield circuit for a series of endurance tests.

Less than 48 hours after unveiling his bas relief image on the Borg-Warner Trophy at Indianapolis Motor Speedway, Tony Kanaan started his on-the-job orientation with his new employer, Chip Ganassi Racing, during a team test at Sebring International Raceway.

Despite joining a new team, there was familiarity for the Brazilian in his first on-track session. Longtime engineer, Eric Cowdin was on the pit stand as were drivers he considers friends. Kanaan was even familiar with the Chevrolet twin turbocharged engine that was affixed to the No. 8 NTT DATA car for the first time.

Infiniti Red Bull Racing is pleased to announce that Sébastien Buemi and António Félix da Costa will make up the team’s test and reserve driver lineup in 2014.

For Sébastien, 2014 will represent a third consecutive year in the role of Test and Reserve Driver at the team. The Swiss racer first filled the role in 2008 before graduating to an F1 race seat with Scuderia Toro Rosso in 2009. In his 55 grands prix with our sister team he scored 29 championship points and completed over 13,000km across more than 2,600 laps of racing.

OAK Racing Team TOTAL claimed the 2013 Asian Le Mans Series Championship following a decisive victory in Sunday’s season-ending Three Hours of Sepang.

Ho-Ping Tung took the Michelin-shod No. 24 Morgan-Judd to a 1-minute and 19-second victory over the title-contending No. 18 KCMG Morgan-Nissan, which was unable to match the French-entered car on the track or in the pits.

The ex-A1 GP star passed pole-sitter Tsugio Matsuda with just over an hour to go and stretched his lead during the final round of pit stops when the OAK crew opted to take only new right side tires.

The Mercedes-Benz AMG Vision Gran Turismo concept car, originally created for the Gran Turismo 6 video game, first saw the light of day at the 2013 Los Angeles Auto Show in late November. The futuristic supercar turned heads with its stunning body style, sleek wheels and Formula One-themed cockpit.
